01
What the symptoms mean
The phone may still display and respond, but cracks can spread and leave sharp edges.
Black patches, coloured lines, ink-like marks and flicker usually indicate display damage.
Dead areas, random input or ghost touch can make the phone difficult or unsafe to use.
02
Choosing a replacement
Options depend on the model. For some iPhones, Incell LCD, Soft OLED and genuine Apple display options may be available. We explain the difference and do not label aftermarket parts as genuine.
03
Before and after repair
Back up the phone if you can. Many common screen repairs take around one to two hours when the correct part is in stock, but that is not a guarantee. After repair, keep the phone dry and use a protective case. Opening the device can affect its original water-resistance seal.
FAQ
Questions people ask
Can you replace only the glass?
For many phones the display assembly is replaced as a unit. The correct method depends on the model and damage.
Does a black screen mean the phone is dead?
Not always. The phone may still be running with a failed display. An inspection can separate display damage from power or board faults.
Is screen repair covered by warranty?
Qualifying repair faults are covered for six months. New cracks, impacts, liquid damage and later third-party work are excluded.
